At the preliminary inspection of the site we saw that the flooring was right to the wall and suggested that they plaster and sand the down end of the well perfectly, so that we can achieve smooth installation of the wallpaper and eventually avoid the need of a skirting board.
So it happened and it looks really well.
The wallpaper is vinyl one and washing the floor will not distress it.
